This months speaker is Mark Shotwell, Executive Director of Ritter Center. Learn more about Ritter Center's new location. Ritter Center provides Medical, Behavioral Health, Case Management, and Food services to the homeless and low-income in Marin County. An initial grassroots effort has now become a staple for the underserved community. Ritter’s seasonal drives vary from our annual backpacks and school supplies giveaway, our Turkey and all the fixings giveaway, and our annual Holiday Dinner for low-income and unsheltered individuals and households.
By working with our communities and doing outreach to other organizations, we create partnerships, learn more about each other, and debunk myths about homelessness. Ritter provides information and education for our community on best practices for when a business encounters someone unhoused in their establishment. We conduct in-person training and provide literature for their staff to read and use when needed.
