Marin Community Clinics Celebrates National Health Center Week 2026 with a Week of Gratitude, Community, and Whole Family Care
NOVATO, Calif. — Marin Community Clinics (MCC) will join community health centers across the country in celebrating National Health Center Week (NHCW), August 2–8, 2026, recognizing the vital role community health centers play in ensuring everyone has access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare.
Through more than 236,000 patient visits annually across eight clinic locations, Marin Community Clinics provides compassionate, high-quality healthcare to nearly one in six Marin County residents, regardless of their ability to pay. This year's National Health Center Week theme, Building Innovative Care Where It Matters Most, celebrates the creativity, resilience, and commitment of community health centers to expanding access to care and improving health outcomes nationwide. At Marin Community Clinics, that commitment comes to life through our Whole Family Care approach, delivering integrated, patient-centered care that addresses the physical, behavioral, and social needs of every individual and family we serve.

Throughout the week, Marin Community Clinics will host a variety of appreciation and educational activities designed to celebrate the people who make community healthcare possible and to highlight the importance of preventive care, expanding access to care, and community partnerships. Planned activities include:

• Sunday, August 2 — Innovation & Legacy: A look back at MCC's journey since 1972 and its continued impact on the health of Marin County.
• Monday, August 3 — Staff Appreciation Day: Celebrating the dedicated providers, clinical teams, administrative and support professionals who make Marin Community Clinics' mission possible every day. Together, their compassion, expertise, and commitment to Whole Family Care ensure every patient receives high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Tuesday, August 4 — Patient Appreciation Day: Recognizing the patients and families who place their trust in Marin Community Clinics by expressing our heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to care for our community every day.
• Wednesday, August 5 — Health Conditions Focus: Mental Health Matters—raising awareness, reducing stigma, and encouraging people to seek support. We'll also spotlight our Complex Care Team and the essential role they play in coordinating care and connecting patients with the resources they need to thrive.
• Thursday, August 6 — Population Focus: Publish a social media feature article and video reel celebrating our multicultural, multilingual workforce. Team members will introduce themselves in their native language and share why they're proud to serve at Marin Community Clinics, demonstrating how our diverse team delivers personalized, culturally responsive Whole Family Care to every patient.
• Friday, August 7 — Partner Appreciation Day: Welcoming elected officials, community organizations, and healthcare partners to learn more about the impact of community health centers and the importance of continued investment in affordable, high-quality healthcare.
• Saturday, August 8 — Gratitude & Future Vision: Reflecting on recent accomplishments while sharing MCC's vision for the future through a special message from CEO Brenda Shipp.
