As a Senior Vice President and Business Center Manager of California Bank & Trust, Michael A. Kadel is responsible for overseeing
the bank’s North Bay Business Center, which focuses on growth in the middle market business segment in San Francisco and the North Bay. His role includes supervising Relationship Managers and managing P&L for the center.

Before joining California Bank & Trust, Mr. Kadel was a Regional Manager at Bank of Marin in San Rafael. There he led one of the three of the bank’s largest regions – responsible for business development, attracting seasoned banking talent for bank branches, and for maintaining the bank’s high standard of customer service. He was a member of Bank of Marin’s strategic planning team and launched its private banking program.

He began his financial career more than 20 years ago, and has held management positions at Greater Bay Bancorp, Tamalpais Bank, and Wells Fargo, where he managed 15 retail branches. His roles included regional branch management, strategic planning, commercial and business banking, relationship management, and private banking.

Mr. Kadel serves on the boards of several North Bay organizations, including the Marin General Hospital Foundation, North Bay Leadership Council, and the California Family Health Council. He has also chaired the boards of the Marin Economic Forum and the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce.

During his career, Mr. Kadel’s approach emphasizes setting goals, achieving results in both group and one-on-one settings, focusing on leadership, executing action-oriented business and strategic plans, and mentoring managers and team leaders.

Mr. Kadel earned his BS in Agricultural Economics at Kansas State University and his Master’s degree in Executive Management at the Pacific Coast Banking School in Bellevue, Washington. He has also completed coursework in the Certified Financial Analyst Program at UC Berkeley.
