MARIN COMMUNITY CLINICS RANKED #2 AMONG 125 HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FOR QUALITY CARE
MCC earns Partnership HealthPlan's Top Performer Award for the second consecutive year after achieving 98% of all available quality incentive points.

MARIN COUNTY, Calif. — June 2026 — Marin Community Clinics (MCC) has been recognized as one of Northern California's highest-performing healthcare providers, earning Partnership HealthPlan of California's prestigious Top Performer Achievement Award for the second consecutive year.
In Partnership HealthPlan's 2025 Primary Care Provider Quality Incentive Program (QIP), MCC achieved 98% of all available quality points, ranking No. 2 among 125 parent organizations serving Medi-Cal members across 24 Northern California counties.

The recognition reflects the collective efforts of providers, nurses, medical assistants, quality improvement specialists, and support staff across MCC's clinic network, including San Rafael, Campus Clinic, Larkspur, Greenbrae, North Novato, and South Novato.

"For more than 50 years, Marin Community Clinics has been committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to everyone who comes through our doors," said Brenda Shipp, BS, MBA, CHCO, OHCC, Chief Executive Officer of Marin Community Clinics. "Being ranked No. 2 among 125 healthcare organizations for the second consecutive year demonstrates the extraordinary dedication of our staff and providers. More importantly, it reflects our commitment to helping our patients and families live healthier lives."

Partnership HealthPlan's Quality Incentive Program measures performance across key indicators of preventive care, chronic disease management, patient access, operational excellence, and patient experience. Organizations earning more than 90% of available quality points receive Top Performer recognition.

"Earning 98% of available QIP points is more than an achievement—it reflects the real impact our teams make every day in the lives of patients and families across Marin County," said Elizabeth Shaw, MD, Chief Medical Officer of Marin Community Clinics. "Behind every quality measure is a patient who received a cancer screening, a child who stayed up to date on vaccinations, or an individual who received the support needed to manage a chronic condition. This recognition is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and compassion of our providers and care teams, who work tirelessly to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to every patient, regardless of their background, insurance status, or ability to pay. While we are proud of this accomplishment, it also reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence and continuous improvement as we strive to provide the very best care for our community."

The award is supported by significant patient impact. In 2025, MCC served 38,221 patients through 236,730 visits—reaching nearly one in six Marin County residents. Clinical achievements included caring for 12,884 patients with diabetes, managing care for 13,780 patients with hypertension, completing 4,302 colorectal cancer screenings, and administering 8,989 flu vaccinations.

The organization's Quality Department, led by Margie Powers, worked closely with providers and care teams throughout the year to implement targeted quality improvement initiatives that contributed to MCC's exceptional performance.

In addition to participating in the Primary Care Quality Incentive Program, MCC also participates in Partnership HealthPlan's Enhanced Care Management Quality Incentive Program under California's CalAIM initiative and the Perinatal Quality Incentive Program, which support improved outcomes for vulnerable populations and families.
