Chamber President & CEO Joanne Webster stated "the Chamber makes its endorsement for candidates that best fit the criteria to be supportive of the concerns and needs of the business community, show strong leadership skills and a commitment to a thriving economy".

After an extensive interview process and through review, the Board felt that the above candidates best displayed the greatest command of the facts, possessed a depth of knowledge of the issues, and would collaborate and build the relationships necessary to address the top issues facing businesses in Marin County. The Board felt that the candidates were the most aligned with the Chamber's policies on transportation, housing, efficiency in government and policies on retention of local businesses.
