WOW 2: Workout for Wellness With Type 2 Diabetes

WOW 2 is a class that helps participants with Type 2 Diabetes meet the challenge of adding activity for blood sugar control and weight management. Hands on support from our staff will enable you to leave with a step-by-step plan. If you have had diabetes education in the past, but need a realistic focus on activity, this is the class for you.

Through the class curriculum and discussions, you will learn the practical aspects of exercise physiology and how it affects you. We will explore your options for activity at home and in our community, discuss technologies available to help you and define your checklist for health and wellness. Included are nutritional tips to meet your goals, and what to do if the plan needs to be changed. We will assist you in identifying and working with other health conditions that can impact your activity plan for diabetes.

It is never too late to put new knowledge into action. With support, education and practice, you can move successfully past roadblocks you may have experienced. This class will provide you with the tools you need to, “Travel Well Through Life with Diabetes.”
