Effective Website Home Page Workshop

In this interactive session we will look at the top 10 critical items necessary for a good Home page. We will discuss: Appropriate design  Branding and personality Clear value proposition Obvious pathways for each audience Typography Basic search engine optimization Navigation systems  (and why you need more than one) Calls to action Credibility factors Site speed We discuss each of the above factors and use examples of current web sites to demonstrate good and not-so-good examples. As time permits, we will review the web sites of class participants, and provide feedback and suggestions for improving the Home page effectiveness.
