\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n NEED Executive Director\, Jon Haveman\, will introduce Dr. Lugovskyy\, who will lead a discussion of economic inequality in the U.S. economy. Dr. Lugovskyy\, a frequent speaker on this topic\, will provide evidence on recent increases in income and wealth inequality.

\n Volodymyr will discuss the sources of these increases as well as their implications for the economy. There is no doubt that some inequality is important for the optimal functioning of the economy\, but what might it mean if there is too much? What is the potential harm\, and what policies are likely to reduce the level of economic inequality?
