DESCRIPTION:Please join us to celebrate and recognize eight outstanding educators in our community and say thank you for their continued support of our children.\n\n\n\nThe San Rafael Chamber Education Committee in collaboration with the Mill Valley Chamber have selected eight educators and will recognize all honorees at an Award Ceremony on Wednesday\, April 26th The event is from 4:30-6pm. All honorees will receive a $500 check from Chamber business sponsors with a generous donation match from Redwood Credit Union! in appreciation of their outstanding and continuous service to our students.\n\n\n\nDr. David Wain Coon\, President\, College of Marin will be our host for the evening.\n\n\n\nWe will make a special acknowledgement at this event to retiring San Rafael City Schools Superintendent Jim Hogeboom for his remarkable job in the district.\n\n\n\nThe San Rafael Chamber Education Committee has honored over 125 deserving recipients with these awards over the past 24 years of sponsorship. The committee consists of education leaders from the San Rafael and Miller Creek School Districts\, private schools\, Dominican University and College of Marin. The business members include representatives from businesses with a long history of supporting education and individual members passionate about the interests of business and education.\n\n\n\nOur honorees this year are:\n\nMariah Caceres\, Lucas Valley Elementary\n\nCat Sanner\, Vallecito Elementary\n\nStacey Farrell\, San Rafael High School\n\nEsteban Promis\, Davidson Middle School\n\nNazira Kury\, The Marin School\n\nDamien Hansen\, Sonoma State University\n\nSandy Agajan\, Mill Valley Middle School\n\nChris Hill\, Mill Valley Middle School\n\n\n\nThank you to our host\, Smith Rafael Film Center and Premier sponsor Redwood Credit Union!\n\nThank you to First Federal Savings & Loans for providing event refreshments including wines from Mantra Winery!
