DESCRIPTION:Come to the Chamber AM program each month to network\, listen and learn.  At this face-to-face networking meeting\, you can grow your contact list\, hear how existing members have utilized benefits for positive outcomes and learn something new about our community so you gain a better understanding of how we serve businesses. We will have a different guest speaker monthly.\n\n\n\nGuest Speaker- Bette Gundersheim\, YWCA\n\nTopic: Employment Programs and Services for your business\n\nBette has enjoyed living in Marin County for many years as a NYC transplant and has established deep relationships with the business community\, along with countless non-profits\, including the local school districts and school foundations. \n\nBette's long advertising and marketing career and her expertise in developing strong business relationships has enabled YWCA's Workforce Development Program to grow in a variety of new ways since she joined the YWCA50+ program almost 6 years ago.\n\nBette served as PTA President of the Larkspur School and PTA Board Member for many years while raising her two children with her husband in Corte Madera.\n\nPreviously Bette had been Microsoft's Community Development Specialist\, as well\, as ten years as the Guest Services and Business Development Manager for the American Express & Visa Gift Card Programs at The Village of Corte Madera Shopping Center and Northgate Mall\, exceeding all previous gift card sales and nationally recognized by Macerich\, owner of seventy-two luxury shopping centers.\n\nPre-pandemic\, YWCA50+ program provided support to approximately 300\, low-income 50+ women per year\, and one year later on the job\, YWCA clients had over an 80% retention rate. There is no cost for the high-level services YWCA provides and no one will ever get turned away.\n\nBette is passionate about providing outstanding employment support services for those seeking new or better employment with the YWCA programs offering comprehensive workshops\, extensive computer trainings\, one-on-one job coaching\, job clubs\, employer forums where we support our clients during and post job employment.\n\n \n\nBette reaches out to the Marin County employers for their open job opportunities (with no cost to the employer) to help create that great match hiring smart\, talented\, skilled\, dependable\, YWCA clients. \n\n  \n\nBette is deeply passionate about securing a livable-wage job for YWCA clients so that they can happily live and work in this beautiful county.   \n\n\n\n\n\nFind Out More Here
